The Woodrow Wilson wrestling program has reached incredible heights the last four years.

Right in the middle of the success has been Jimmie "J.J." Bailes, Tyler Roark and Garrett Johnson.

Tuesday morning, the standout trio signed an Institutional Letter of Intent to wrestle at the next level.

Surrounded by family, coaches, friends and teammates, Bailes and Johnson signed with Glenville State University, while Roark signed with Buffalo University.

The accomplishments over their four years as a Flying Eagle are impressive to say the least.

The multi-year state champions helped lead the Flying Eagles to four straight regional titles. Woodrow Wilson was no worse than sixth at the state tournament over that span and twice finished in third place.

The last time the Flying Eagles finished inside the top-10 three straight years was 1987-89.

Glenville State University is led by former West Virginia University BIG12 champion Dylan Cottrell who has been named the Mountain East Conference Coach of the Year for the last three seasons.

The Pioneers won the MEC Championship for the second year in a row and made their first-ever NCAA DII Super Region 3 Championship.

Glenville had six individual MEC champions and two individual Super Region 3 champions, along with seven National Qualifier and four All-Americans.

Buffalo is a Division I school that competes in the Mid-American Conference. The Bulls had three wrestlers place at the MAC Championship Tournament.

Bailes won his initial state championship as a freshman (48-1), becoming the first Woodrow Wilson wrestler to do so since Matt Callahan was state champion in 1999. Bailes went on to win back-to-back state championships as a junior (57-0) and a senior (57-3). Bailes finished runner-up as a sophomore (59-6).
