Summit Christian Academy standout M.J. Patton signs with Concord University

Summit Christian Academy senior M.J. Patton realized his dream Thursday when he signed an Institutional Letter of Intent to play basketball for Concord University.
Patton scored over 1,000 points in his high school career, but was a solid player on both ends of the floor. Battling the stigma of playing not only for a small school, but a Christian School as well, Patton used a relentless work ethic to earn a college offer. The future Mountain Lion talked about his career and various other topics.
Matt Patton has coached his son for several years throughout the travel season and was M.J.'s head coach this season at newly formed Summit Christian Academy. He added his insight to what has made M.J. such a great player.
