
Webster County's Historic Baseball Season Ends in Charleston

Charleston - The historic run for Webster County baseball came to a close Thursday morning at the 2025 State Baseball Tournament inside GoMart Park.
Following three scoreless innings, No. 1 seed Madonna scored 13 runs over the next three frames to defeat the Highlanders 13-3 in six innings.

David Connors had three doubles, an RBI and scored three times for the Blue Dons.
Matthew Greer, Sam Brooks and Reed Wilharm all drove in two runs, while Koleton Grishkevich and Brayden Miller collected two hits apiece.
Senior Grayden Channell had two RBI for Webster County. Channell, Ryder Miller, Daniel Gaye and Remington Wright each had one hit.
Madonna advances to the Class A state championship game set for 10 a.m. Saturday morning.
