Levi Barnett's double walks it off Sunday against Post 60

Beckley Bash Post 32 won two-out-of-three games this weekend, with the final victory coming in dramatic fashion.

Saturday on Fireworks Night along with the annual Independence Day celebration at Linda K. Epling Stadium, the Bash wiped out Morgantown, 15-6.

Sunday Beckley split a doubleheader with the Post 60 Knights from Berkeley Springs.

After falling in game one to Post 60, Beckley scored four runs in the bottom of the seventh-inning to extend the game to extra frames in game two.

In the bottom of the eighth-inning, the Bash Boys walked it off when the Independence connection of Degan Williams and Levi Barnett hit back-to-back doubles for a 7-6 win.

Trailing 6-2, Barnett, who hit the game winner, ignited the rally in the seventh with a one-out single and scored on a triple from former Independence teammate Brayden Kiblinger.

Jake Meadows singled home Kiblinger to trim the deficit to 6-4.

A walk to Maddex Sims and a single from Zach Hunt loaded the bases before a fielding error by Post 60 allowed two more runs to score for the 6-6 tie.

Barnett and Meadows finished with three hits apiece, while Hunt had a pair of base knocks.

Saturday night Beckley pounded out 17 hits, including three doubles and three triples.

Kiblinger was perfect in three plate appearances, including a double and two RBI's, while Sims ripped a triple, a double and had two RBI's. Cole Brown also had had three hits with a triple and an RBI.

The triple from Kadyn Hines pushed two runs across and Cole Cunningham had an RBI-double. Ashton Cochran collected a pair of hits and an RBI.

Up next for Beckley Bash Post 32 is a key Area 3 doubleheader Wednesday against South Charleston Post 94 at St. Albans High School.
