
Beckley Post 32 Jr Legion blanks Clendenin Post 61
Hilling fires a one-hitter with 15 strikeouts

Clendenin - The last outing prior to Wednesday night for Beckley Post 32 Top Prospects Jr. Legion was a 3-0 win over Morgantown.
Gage Price fired a no-hitter to lead the charge.
Wednesday night against Clendenin Post 61 at Herbert Hoover High School, Post 32 nearly went back-to-back no-no's.

Eli Hilling led the Beckley boys to a 1-0 win pitching a one-hit shutout with 15 strikeouts.
The only run the PikeView all-stater needed came in the fifth inning when Brady Williams reached on an error and scored on a double from Clay Patton.
Sam Barnett had two hits, including a double, while Nelson Lynch also had a two-bagger.
Beckley Post 32 (12-2) is now in the driver's seat in regards to qualifying for the Junior Legion State Tournament.

Post 32 needs one win from the doubleheader against Clendenin Tuesday at Linda K. Epling Stadium to secure the No. 1 seed from Area 3.
The Top Prospects Jr. Legion team will be back in action Saturday when it hosts Winfield Post 187 for a doubleheader starting at 1:30 p.m.
The Beckley Bash (SR Legion) will host Morgantown Post 2 following the double dip, ahead of the area's best fireworks display which will close out Saturday's events.
