
Beckley Post 32 Junior Legion Sweeps Callaway, Va.

Beckley Post 32 Top Prospects Junior Legion ran its record to 6-0 with a doubleheader sweep of Callaway Post 96 Saturday at Linda K. Epling Stadium.
The Beckley boys took game one, 13-1 in five innings, before rolling past Callaway, 18-6 in game two, also in five innings.
Post 32 jumped out to a 4-0 lead after one inning in game one and was never challenged the remainder of the game.

Beckley added three more runs in the second inning before putting up a six-spot in the fourth frame.
Miken Smyth and Sam Barnett both had two hits and two RBI's, while Landon Wyatt had two hits and one RBI to lead Top Prospects at the plate.
Noah Fox, Nelson Lynch, Brady Williams and Jacob Claypool all had one RBI.

Game two was a one-run contest heading to the bottom of the fourth when Beckley exploded for 11 runs to cruise to the win.
Wyatt had a triple, a double and two RBI's, while Clay Patton added a triple and two RBI's. Barnett had a solo inside the park home run. Smyth and Claypool both had a triple.
Nine different players had at least one RBI for Post 32, who will travel to Charleston Post 65 Tuesday.
