The statement on the warm-up shirts for the Woodrow Wilson boys soccer team was clear.

One Mission.

That mission is a state another state soccer title.

The Flying Eagles will get that chance Saturday morning at 10:30 a.m. thanks to a 4-1 win over Morgantown in the State Tournament semifinal clash Thursday at Paul Cline Stadium.

Top-seeded Woodrow Wilson will battle No. 3-seed Hurricane who knocked off No. 2-seed Wheeling Park, 4-1 in the afternoon match.

The hometown team never trailed in the contest Thursday and was never seriously threatened.

Jonathan Scott staked the Flying Eagles to a 1-0 lead when he was hauled down inside the box for a foul.

Scott's penalty try in the 15th minute was first denied by the Mohigan keeper, Will Chang, but the senior striker quickly collected the rebound and hammered it home.

Woodrow Wilson added to the lead in the 27th minute when junior Hagen Hall set up senior Coby Dillon with a beautiful ball. Dillon proceeded to beat the keeper for a 2-nil advantage that stood at the half.

The back-breaker came less than a minute into the second half.

Collecting a loose ball in front of the keeper, Dylan Basconi knocked it home for a 3-0 lead.

Vince Umberger rounded out the scoring for Woodrow Wilson with a goal in the 47th minute.

Rayyan Hanif scored late in the contest for the Mohigans.

Woodrow Wilson and Hurricane will battle for the first-ever Class AAAA Boys State Soccer title. The Flying Eagles beat the Redskins 2-1 last year in the AAA state final in dramatic fashion.

The two teams also met to open the 2025 season with Woodrow Wilson earning a 2-1 win at Hurricane.

Woodrow Wilson head coach Steve Laraba talked about the win Thursday.
