Wyoming East 8, Oak Hill 5

New Richmond - Wyoming East (12-3) fell behind 5-2 after five innings, but scored six runs in the sixth inning for a 8-5 win over the Red Devils.

Sophomore Jaeden Lester earned the win raising his record to 4-1 on the season, striking out 13 batters for a total of 60 K's across 32 innings for the year.

Talan Muscari wielded the big bat going 3-for-3 with a double and three runs batted in, while Lester and Braxton Morgan each had an RBI.

Will McGraw and Owen Grose had two hits apiece for the Red Devils (10-4). Grose had the lone RBI. Carter Reid also had two hits for Oak Hill.

James Monroe 7, Liberty 6

Gardner - Trailing 6-2 going to the bottom of the fifth inning, James Monroe scored three in the fifth and walked it off with two runs in the seventh for a 7-6 win over Liberty (5-4) Friday.

Peyton Gardinier started the final at-bat with a double and came in to score on an RBI-single from Brycen Parker. A walk, a single and an eventual pass ball sent the Mavericks home a winner.

Gardinier ended the night 3-for-3 with two doubles and three RBI. Parker had two hits and two RBI.

Chase Shea had a home run for the Raiders, while Brayden Keith had three hits. Jayden Acord had a double and three RBI.

Independence 6, St. Albans 5

South Charleston 15, St. Albans 8

St. Albans - Independence split a pair of games Friday night played at Loftis Field in St. Albans.

The Patriots beat St. Albans 6-5 in the nightcap after dropping a 16-8 decision to South Charleston in the opener.

Cole Cunningham had three hits, including a solo home run and drove in two runs to lead Independence against the Red Dragons. The big lefty reached 100 hits for his high school career with the three-hit effort.

Levi Barnett also had a double and three hits on the night. Degan Williams had two RBI.

Reid Warden earned the win and Williams had the save.

South Charleston jumped on the Patriots early taking a 10-4 lead after three innings.

Barnett had three hits, while Williams and Cunningham had two each. All three players had a double.

Williams had two RBI and Cunningham had one. Reid Warden, who had a triple, Micah Cuthbert and Justin Williams each had an RBI.

Shady Spring 25, Midland Trail 1

Hico - Shady Spring rolled into Fayette County on a five-game winning streak and unfortunately for Midland Trail, it had no answers for the Tigers.

Pounding out 18 hits, Shady Spring rolled past the Patriots, 25-1 in five innings.

Brody Seabolt had three hits and four RBI, while Aiden Calvert had two hits and three RBI. Jalon Bailey and Sam Barnett each had two hits and drove in two runs. Bailey hit a double.

Colyn Smith had a double among his three hits and an RBI. Cutter Boggs also had a double and an RBI. Noah Fox drove in two runs.

Fox and Calvert combined for a one-hitter, allowing no earned runs and recording six strikeouts.

Woodrow Wilson 14, Margaretta, Ohio 6

The Flying Eagles scored eight runs in their final two trips to the plate to beat Margaretta, Ohio 14-6 Friday night.

Maddex Sims had a pair of doubles and four RBI, while Drew Gallaher had three hits and three RBI to pace Woodrow Wilson.

Gage Price also had three RBI and Austin Long collected two hits.

Bren Smith led the Polar Bears with two hits and two RBI.
