HS Basketball: Postseason Schedule and Regional Alignment
2025-26 HS Basketball Postseason Information
The 2025-26 basketball season is in its infancy for both high school girls and boys, but it is never too early to take a glance forward to the postseason.
Class AAAA will be split into two regions with the top-four teams in each region advancing to the state tournament.
Class AAA, AA and A is divided into four regions with the top-two teams in each region moving on to Charleston in March.
The postseason schedule and regional alignments for area teams is listed below.
Girls Schedule:
Regional Tournament: Feb. 24 - March 5
State Tournament: March 10 - 14
Boys Schedule:
Regional Tournament: March 3 - 12
State Tournament: March 17 - 21
Regional alignment for AAAA South and Region 3 for AAA, AA, and A.
AAAA: Buckhannon-Upshur, Cabell Midland, George Washington, Huntington, Hurricane,Oak Hill, Parkersburg, Parkersburg South, Riverside Woodrow Wilson
AAA: Capital, Greenbrier East, Herbert Hoover, Nicholas County, PikeView, Princeton, Ripley, Shady Spring
AA: Bluefield, Independence, James Monroe, Liberty, Midland Trail, Mingo Central, River View, Summers County, Westside, Wyoming East
A: Greater Beckley Christian, Greenbrier West, Meadow Bridge, Montcalm, Mt. View, Richwood, Sherman, Webster County
