HS Boys Basketball State Tournament: Wyoming rolls past Logan
Broc Johnson pours in 30 points to lead the Warriors

The ride to a possible Class AA state championship appearance for the Wyoming East boys basketball team has been a trifecta extravaganza.
After defeating county rival Westside for a third time this season to win the Region 3 co-final championship, the Warriors opened state tournament play with round three against longtime rival, Logan.
Two down, one to go on the trifecta express.
Powered by 30 points and eight rebounds from Broc Johnson, Wyoming East ran away from the Wildcats in an 81-56 win in front of a huge crowd inside the Charleston Colisum and Convention Center.
With the win, the Warriors advance to the semifinal round where they will battle Bluefield for the third time this season. The Warriors hold victories in the first two meetings.
The two titans will clash Friday morning at 9:30 a.m.
Wyoming East head coach Kent McBride and his players discussed the win over Logan.
Logan took the initial lead of the game and held its last lead at 6-5 with 5:03 to play in the opening quarter.
Johnson's second 3-pointer of the game gave the Warriors a lead they never relinquished the remainder of the night.

When the first quarter horn sounded, Wyoming East was on top 18-12.
The Warriors proceeded to separate the game with a 10-0 run, leading by as many as 17 points in the second period.
Logan fought back to trail by 12 points at the break and was as close as 10 points in the third period, but could never get back within single digits.
Four straight points from Johnson placed a damper on a Logan comeback to open the final period and when Keegan Davidson scored on a pull up jumper in the paint at the 5:42 mark, Wyoming East led by 20 points and cruised home for the win.
Talan Muscari had 14 points for the Warriors, followed by 11 from Davidson and 10 from Konnor Fox.
Davidson's output Wednesday night pushed him over 1,000 points for his high school career.
Braedy Johnston added seven points and Braxton Morgan knocked in two 3-pointers for six points on the night.
Bentley Williamson and Lucas Lambert scored 16 points apiece for the Wildcats and Ivan Miller added 14 points.
Logan head coach Mark Hatcher talked about the game and the future for the Wildcats.
