
HS Football: Beckley pulls away from Preston County
Flying Eagles rush for over 400 yards and score six touchdowns

Kingwood - Beckley made the long trip to Preston County Friday night and came home with a Class AAAA win over the Knights, 45-34.
The Flying Eagles rushed for over 400 yards and six touchdowns led by Gage Burdette who totaled 214 yards on 23 carries and one touchdown.
Javontae Wynes added 143 yards on eight totes and scored twice, while Alizah Pittman, Gage Price and A.J. Thomas had one score each.

After leading 25-20 at the break, Beckley fell behind 26-25 in the third period.
Wynes put the Flying Eagles back in front for good with a three-yard plunge and added a four-yard score early in the fourth quarter to give Beckley some breathing room.
Gage Price scored on a one-yard keeper for a 45-26 lead.
