Spartans put up 41 points to cruise past the Grizzlies

Summersville - A.J. Godfrey set a new school record scoring five rushing touchdowns to lead Greenbrier East to a 41-14 win over Nicholas County.

Godfrey ended the night with 124 yards on 27 carries.

East quarterback Brody Hamric threw for 191 yards and ran for one score, while Grant Burdette had 75 yards on four catches.

Devin Nash scored on a 13-yard run for the Grizzlies and Coleton Hellems found Lucas Milam for a 41-yard touchdown pass.

Greenbrier East (5-2) hosts Bluefield Friday, while Nicholas County (2-5) travels to Roane County.
