HS Football: Greenbrier East defeats James Monroe

Nate Suttle grabs two touchdowns to lead the Spartans on Senior Night

Class AAA No. 8 Greenbrier East never trailed in the contest en route to a 29-14 win over AA No. 9 James Monroe on Senior Night.

Nate Suttle caught two touchdown passes from Brody Hamric (8, 13) and Kaden Stone hauled in a 14-yard score from Hamric as well.

Stone also scored on a 45-yard interception return in the second quarter.

Hamric finished with 16 completions for 191 yards and the three scores.

Brock Parker scored for the Mavericks on a one-yard plunge, while Bryce Gardinier found paydirt on am eight-yard pass from Ryan Mann.

Greenbrier East travels to AAA No. 5 Nitro, while James Monroe hosts Class A No. 3 Tug Valley.
