HS Football: Greenbrier East overwhelms Oak Hill
Brody Hamric throws for 262 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Spartans past the Red Devils

Friday night at Spartan Stadium, the odds were not in the favor of visiting Oak Hill. The home-standing Spartans were not in the business of generosity either.
Riding a three touchdown performance from quarterback Brody Hamric, Greenbrier East overwhelmed a beleaguered Oak Hill squad, 45-7.
The Red Devils faced a tall task entering the game with numerous injuries and playing its third straight game on the road.
Greenbrier East made a statement early taking a 25-0 halftime lead that ballooned into a 32-0 advantage in the third period.

All three of Hamric's touchdown strikes came in the first half to build the commanding lead. Grant Burdette reeled in a 19-yarder, while Nate Suttle scored on a 51-yard touchdown in the opening quarter.
Burdette caught his second touchdown of the half on a 30-yard pass.
A.J. Godfrey found paydirt on a 14-yard run, before scoring twice in the second half on runs of five and eight yards. The senior tailback had 97 yards rushing in the win.
Kaden Stone picked up a fumble and rambled 46 yards for a defensive score that has become a trademark of the Spartans defense this season.
Cade Compton had the lone score the Red Devils on a 20-yard jaunt and ended the night with 142 yards on the ground.
