HS Football: Greenbrier West pounds Gilmer County

Cavaliers score 41 first-half points to roll past the Titans

Charmco - Greenbrier West scored 41 points in the first half to roll past Gilmer County 55-6 Friday night in a downpour.

Ben Butler returned to action after an injury to score two touchdowns (40, 24) and run for 105 yards on seven carries.

Colton Dunbar had 137 yards and one touchdown (88) on four carries, while Kam Parker (14), Scott McClung (5), Logan Berry (3) and Brenton Hodge (22) all added a rushing score.

Shane Plogger intercepted a pass and ran 27 yards for a score.

Greenbrier West totaled 406 yards on the ground.
