HS Football: Independence senior Landon "The Riddler" Riddle will leave defenses in a quandary this year 

Riddle will be a force coming off of the edge for the Patriots

I made a quick stop in Coal City Thursday morning and spoke with senior Landon Riddle in our latest player profile.

Riddle has been a stalwart for the Patriots and will wreak havoc defensively coming from the outside this season.

Independence opens the season Thursday, August 28 at home against Herbert Hoover. The Huskies won a wild 37-30 shootout last year in Elkview.

The Patriots finished 8-4 last year, advancing to the state playoff semifinals for the fourth straight season.

Independence won the state AA championship in 2022, the first in school history.
