HS Football: Midland Trail blots out the Dots, 55-0

Jayden Roop scored three times, while the Patriots defense pitches a dominant shutout

Hico - Midland Trail exploded for 35 points in the first half and erased the dots from Poca, 55-0 Friday night.

Jayden Roop scored three times on runs of 25, 7 and 23 yards for the Patriots who tallied six rushing scores in the win.

Max White, Aiden Weis and Jacob Ewing each had one score, while quarterback Rayce Dickerson hit Jamison Swafford for a 12-yard touchdown.

Defensively, the Patriots held Poca to negative total yards and only three first downs. One first down was earned from a penalty.

Midland Trail (2-0) hosts Braxton County Friday.
