HS Football: Midland Trail rolls past Clay County

Roop and Weis score twice to lead the Patriots past the Panthers

Spencer - Jayden Roop and Aiden Weis each scored twice to lead Midland Trail past Clay County 41-13 Friday in a game played at Roane County High School.

Weis ended the night with 141 yards on nine carries.

Jamison Swafford and Max White also had a touchdown for the Patriots who will host Poca Friday night.

Swafford caught six balls for 107 yards and had an interception on defense. Zander Ooten has 3.5 sacks and Brody Jones also has an interception.
