After leading 14-3 after one quarter, the home team held a 26-13 advantage at the break.

The bulk of the early damage was done by senior Mackenzie Chaffin who dominated the paint for 12 of her 14 points on the night.

The third quarter mimicked the opening stanza for Midland Trail who scored the first 10 points coming out of the locker room.

A triple from Leah Adkins for Greater Beckley stopped the bleeding, but only for a blink.

Sophomore Presley Walker answered with a long ball for the Lady Patriots before creating a steal and converting it into a layup for a 41-16 lead.

Raelyn Morris, who led all scorers with 21 points, then drilled a 3-ball before she cashed in a layup off of a deflection.

When the third quarter horn sounded, Midland Trail was in command 48-18.
