HS Golf: Shady's Tyler Beard signs with Shepherd University

Beard helped guide Shady Spring to back-to-back team titles

After their team finished runner-up in the 2023 West Virginia State Golf Tournament, Shady Spring standouts Tyler Beard and Cooper Ward - sophomores at the time - told head coach Greg Daniel they would win the next two state titles.

Fast forward two years and the dynamic duo was true to their words.

Now the lifelong friends will take separate journeys in their college careers.

Beard made his choice official Wednesday afternoon when he signed a National Letter of Intent to play golf for Shepherd University.
