HS Soccer: Shady Spring boys face some new challenges this season
The Tigers move to Class AAA in the new three-class system for soccer

The Shady Spring boys soccer team won the sectional title two years ago and had another solid season in 2024.
This year the Tigers face some new challenges.
The biggest hurdle will be replacing some solid graduated seniors including Nathan Vecellio who scored 42 goals and had 21 assists.
The good news for Shady Spring is the next two top scorers do return in Micah Smith and Evan Rivera who combined for 37 goals and had 20 assists.
Shady Spring will also move from Class AA to AAA in the new three-class system for West Virginia high school soccer.
The Tigers will now be looking at regional clashes with Greenbrier East and Princeton, along with rival PikeView.
Head coach Josiah Smith talks about his team and the upcoming soccer season.
