Liberty 17, Margaretta, Ohio 2 (3 innings()

Glen Daniel - The Raiders roared out of the gate with 12 runs in the first inning and went on to defeat Margaretta, Ohio 17-2 in three innings Friday.

Katie Mullens had a double and drove in four runs, while Emma Hartshorn was 2-for-2 and had three RBI. Mullens and Hartshorn both had a double.

McKinlea Hill earned the win allowing only two hits and two earned runs.

Shady Spring 6, PikeView 0

Shady Spring 9, PikeView 1 (5 innings)

Gardner - Shady Spring swept a double header with PikeView Friday, 6-0 and 9-0 in fve innings.

Jenna Joyce pitched a three-hit shutout with 10 strikeouts, while hitting a double and driving in two runs. Kenidi Creager and Brooklyn Blankenship also had an RBI.

In the 9-1 triumph, Peyton Raban had three hits, including a double, while Lacy Osborne had two hits and two RBI. Joyce had a double.

Raegan Lane scattered seven hits, allowed only one earned run and struck out five Panthers.

Midland Trail 5, James Monroe 2

Midland Trail 11, James Monroe 5

Lindside - Midland Trail swept two from regional rival James Monroe Friday night, 5-2 in the opener and 11-5 in game two.

Presley Walker and Stephanie Harrell had a hit and an RBI for the Patriots in game one. Madison Rader was solid in the circle allowing just one earned run with eight strikeouts.

Peighton Griffith had two hits for the Mavericks.

Trail took control in game two by scoring seven runs in the fifth inning and three more in the seventh.

Abby Parcell and Nevaeh Hall each had three hits and two RBI for the Patriots. Hall had a triple and Parcell collected two doubles.

Rader had three hits and one RBI, while Jessi Mooney had a hit and two RBI.

Griffith collected two more hits and drove in two for James Monroe.

Oak Hill 20, Mount View 5 (5 innings)

Welch - Oak Hill made the journey to McDowell County Friday night and came home with two five-inning wins over Mount View, 12-3 and 20-5.

K.K. Smith had two hits, including a double, and two RBI in the 12-3 win, while Amy Hollandsworth collected three hits and one RBI. Sadie Branch had a double and an RBI.

Smith controlled the circle with eight strikeouts and no earned runs.

In scoring 20 runs, the Red Devils pounded out 17 hits.
