Liberty 7, Sherman 1

Glen Daniel - The Raiders jumped out to a 5-0 lead on their way to a 7-1 win over Sherman. The first win for Liberty over the Tide since 2020.

Maddie Cox scattered five hits and struck out nine to get the win in the circle.

Katie Mullens had two hits and two RBI, while Allie Bowles had a double, a single and an RBI as well. Kanyon Green also had an RBI for Liberty (7-5).

Peyton Foster had two hits, including a double, for the Tide.

James Monroe 10, Woodrow Wilson 1 (5 innings)

Beckley - James Monroe scored five runs in the second inning and rolled to a 10-1 win over Woodrow Wilson.

Peighton Griffith had four hits in four trips, including three doubles, driving in four runs to lead the Mavericks. Chloe Bert added three hits and had two RBI. Peyton Street collected three hits and had an RBI. Bryleigh Thomas had a triple and RBI as well.

Thomas limited the Flying Eagles to four hits out of the circle to take the win.

Aubrey Smallwood had a double to score Shailee Sexton who had double in the at-bat prior hers.

Independence 15, Princeton 0, (3 innings)

Princeton - Independence scored multiple runs in all three innings to defeat Princeton, 15-0 Thursday night.

Savannah Stanley hammered a three-run homer and drove in a total of five runs to pace the Patriots.

Kassidy Bradbury had a two-run homer, while Emma Lilly was 3-for-3 with a triple and two RBI.

Ava Parks collected two hits, including a double, and had one RBI. Acasia Cook also had two hits and an RBI.

Paytin Brehm had the magic in the circle, going three innings, allowing no hits and recording seven strikeouts.

Wyoming East 8, Westside 5

Clear Fork - Carli Raye had three hits, including two doubles, and drove in five runs to lead Wyoming East past county rival Westside, 8-5 Thursday.

The Warriors (5-8) broke open a 5-5 game with three runs in the sixth inning, including a two-RBI double from Raye.

Kaydee Shrewsbury and Alivia Monroe each had an RBI, while Olivia Vint collected two hits for the Warriors.

Brie Walls had two hits and two RBI for the Renegades (6-5). Myles Meadows and Brie Walls had two apiece.

Midland Trail 21, Richwood 0 (3 innings)

Ansted - Midland Trail exploded for 17 runs in the second frame to roll past Richwood, 21-0 in three innings.

Freshman Stephanie Harrell smacked the first home run of her high school career in the win. Harrell also had a double and drove in four runs for the Patriots.

Abby Parcell had three hits, including a triple, and one RBI. Madison Rader, Nevaeh Hall and Mary McGraw collected two hits each.

Presley Walker, Kylie Ramsey and Kyndal Parsons each had two RBI. Ramsey, Jessi Mooney and Ava Campbell all hit a double.

Nitro 12, Oak Hill 10

Nitro - The Red Devils rally fell just short Thursday night in a 12-10 loss at Nitro.

Meeka Miller did the most damage for Oak Hill with two hits and five RBI. Amy Hollandsworth and Ava Pomeroy both drove in two runs each each for the Red Devils.

Kennedy King, Peyten Farrell and Sadie Branch also had two hits apiece.

Lyndi Campbell and Ryleigh Click both had three RBI for the Wildcats. Madeline Given had a double and two RBI.
