HS Volleyball: Mt. Hope Christian enters WVCAT as the No. 1 seed

The defending WVCAT champions are 16-3 on the season

The West Virginia Christian Athletic Volleyball Tournament happens Friday and Saturday in Huntington. Matches will be played at The Covenant School and Grace Christian School.

Mount Hope Christian enters the tournament as the No. 1 seed after posting a 16-3 record this year. The Warriors have only dropped a pair of matches to AAAA Woodrow Wilson and one to AA James Monroe.

Noteworthy wins for Mount Hope Christian include Midland Trail, Liberty, Summers County, Greenbrier West, Greenbrier East, Woodrow Wilson and George Washington.

Victory Baptist Academy is No. 2 followed in order by Calvary Baptist, Wood County Christian, Teays Valley Christian, Grace Christian, Summit Christian, Greater Beckley Christian and West Logan Christian.

West Logan Christian will play at Greater Beckley Christian in a play-in game to open the tournament before action starts Friday Morning at 8:30 a.m. at Covenant School.

Covenant School will host matches 2-5 before the tournament moves to Grace Christian for the remainder of the matches.

The championship match is slated for 5 p.m. Saturday.
