Independence All-Stater Cole Cunningham signs with WVU Tech Baseball

Former President Teddy Roosevelt was famously associated with the phrase, "walk softly and carry a big stick."
Independence slugger is the epitome of that phrase on the baseball field.
The calm and low key Cunningham goes from Jekyll to Hyde once his foot steps in the batter's box.
Friday morning, his "create damage" attitude helped him secure a roster position for the WVU Tech Golden Bears baseball team following a stellar high school career.
Cunningham is a two-time, first-team all-state selection and was the Captain of the first-team as junior, leading the Patriots to the AA state championship game.
During his senior season, Cunningham hit .414 against one of the toughest schedules in the state. Cunningham had 22 RBI's and two home runs.
The future Golden Bear batted .421 as a junior with 50 RBI's and seven home runs, while hitting .396 as a sophomore with 22 RBI's.
Cunningham graduated with over 100 hits and 100 RBI's for his high school career.
