MS Football: Bulldogs bite Roadrunners in Battle for Beckley
Beckley-Stratton scores 42 first-half points to roll past Park 50-8

Beckley-Stratton scored three times on its first five offensive plays to wipe-out city-rival Park, 50-8, Thursday night at Van Meter Stadium.

Following his long kick return to open the game, Cameron Davis rolled in from 19-yards out on the second play of the game for an 8-0 lead.
The ensuing onside kick by the Bulldogs squirted free from a Park defender giving Beckley-Stratton the ball at its own 44-yard line.
Two plays later, Nemo Plummer broke free on a 56-yard gallop to push the lead to 14-0, but the Bulldogs were not finished in the opening quarter.
Taking advantage of a forced fumble, Beckley-Stratton scored on the next play when quarterback Bentley Ellison tossed one out to Ty'Leek Manns who raced 59 yards and a 20-0 advantage.
Davis opened the second quarter by hauling in a 32-yard strike from Ellison before Plummer scored on a one-yard dive for a 34-0 lead.
The lone bright spot for the Roadrunners came on a 43-yard touchdown run by Zayden Johnson-Hill.
A late turnover and a two-yard plunge by Davis on the final play of the first half gave the Bulldogs a commanding 42-8 lead at the break.
Cory Law capped the scoring for Beckley-Stratton with a 54-yard run to the end zone in the third quarter.
