Princeton - Princeton used a balanced scoring attack and strong defense to beat Capital 47-38 Tuesday in the AAA Region 3 co-final championship game.

Princeton earned the No. 6-seed in the 2026 Girls State Basketball Tournament and will play No. 3-seed Nitro at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday morning inside the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center.

Kylee Jackson and Tylar Burks each scored 11 points for Princeton, while Addy McCabe tossed in 10 points and Natalie Rose had nine points. Brystal Winfrey finished with six points.

Naziah Pannell paced the Lady Cougars with a game-high 16 points.
