Scott Brown Classic Boys Basketball Results

The 35th annual Scott Brown/Little General Stores All-star Basketball Classic was played Saturday at Shady Spring High School.

The AAAA-A All-stars won both games on the girls and the boys side.

In the boys contest, the AAAA-A Mid State Automotive all-stars were too much for the AAA-AA C. Adam Toney Tire Pros squad, rolling to a 119-87 win.

First team all-state selection, Jaylon Walton from Woodrow Wilson was named the game MVP scoring 22 points and grabbing 12 rebounds.

Capital's Grant Barclay was the 3-point contest winner prior to the game and followed Walton with 19 points, making five triples.

Marty Johnson and Demarcus Bandy from Morgantown added 18 and 17 points, respectively, while Roman Kellum from South Charleston had 14 and had 13 rebounds. Greater Beckley all-stater Drew Fitzwater scored 11to go along with seven boards.

Bandy edged Kellum for the title in the dunk contest.

Mid State held a 71-44 edge on the boards over C. Adam Toney who was without three players for various reasons.

Donovan Brown from Herbert Hoover led the AAA-AA squad with 15 points. Khi Olson from Shady Spring added 13 points. Olson's former teammate Jalon Bailey scored 12 and had eight rebounds. Summit Christian standout Chance Watkins was in double figures with 10 points.

Westside three-sport standout Kadien Vance added nine points and had seven rebounds.
